The Training Band was started in 1999 to give the younger players and some adults, extra practice and the chance to play less difficult pieces of music.
The group consists of cornets, tenor horns, baritone, euphonium, and basses. It is now used for some as a stepping-stone to the main band.
It rehearses every Monday evening from 6.30pm to 7.30 pm following the beginner group (6.30pm) and prior to the main band rehearsal (7.30pm)
