Name: Patrica Eggleton

Nickname: Aunty Pat
Age: 70
How you started banding:
My daughter Anthea joined the band on 29th Oct 1983. Then my husband Brian took over as band secretary on 13th /March 1986. Not wishing to be left out, as I had a knowledge of music via the piano I decided too teach myself I borrowed an old flugel horn to practice on, then on 3rd April 1989 I joined the band as a learner on 3rd cornet, and was able to encourage other youngsters too!
Best ever moment:
When I heard that the band had qualified for the National Finals in Harrogate and that they had been promoted into the 2nd Section nationally - truly amazing for a Village Band. All this was achieved by hard work and under the leadership of Mike Dunford
Worst ever moment:
Being unable to get the high notes and having to drop an octave hoping that it wouldn't stand out or spoil the piece of music
When did you join:
3rd April 1989 (3rd cornet) 22 May 2001 (2nd Tenor Horn)
