Contest Workshop

Over the weekend 6/7 Mar 10 the band were put through their paces by Rob Wiffin, Professor of Conducting at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall. We were playing the second section test piece 'Kingdom of Dragons'.

Saturday saw us in our usual rehearsal room in the Methodist chapel and Sunday, as the photos show, in the new school hall. The variety of acoustics was both a challenge and an education that saw steady improvement over the workshop.

After coming 2nd in Torquay the band now qualify for promotion to 1st section from Jan 2011 and are looking forward to Harrogate in September.
